Today Apple introduced a new LED Cinema Display featuring a beautiful 27-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 2560-by-1440 pixel resolution, more than 60 percent more pixels than the 24-inch model it replaces. Designed for MacBooks but a great companion for Mac desktops, the new LED Cinema Display will be available in September.
One of the only LED backlit, mercury-free large desktop displays on the market. Meets EPEAT Gold and EnergyStar 5.0 qualifications. New ambient light sensor (ALS) dynamically adjusts backlight based on lighting conditions. Uses the minimum power necessary for a given lighting environment. Can be disabled in Display preferences. Apple has recently unveiled a completely redesigned Mac mini, featuring up to twice the graphics performance, a new HDMI port and a new SD card slot, all in an amazingly compact aluminium enclosure.
Additional detail:
• The new aluminium enclosure applies the unibody construction process pioneered by Apple and features a removable panel underneath for memory upgrades and an integrated power supply to keep cable clutter to a minimum.
• The new NVIDIA GeForce 320M is the fastest integrated graphics processor on the market.
• Mac mini is the world’s most energy efficient desktop requiring less than 10W (previously 14W) at idle.
• Mac mini is designed to be extremely versatile, easily connecting to a customer’s existing peripherals, supports dual displays and connects to an HDTV.
• Mac mini now features an SD card slot and supports SDXC, for large capacity cards.

International pricing will be announced at a later date. iPad will be available in late March in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. The Wi-Fi + 3G models of iPad will be available in April in the US and with selected countries to be announced.

New Apple LED Cinema Display Announced - The LED Cinema Display features a stunning 24-inch LED-backlit widescreen display with built-in iSight video camera, mic and speakers in an elegant, thin aluminium and glass enclosure. Designed for the new MacBook family, the LED Cinema Display includes an integrated MagSafe charger, three USB 2.0 ports and the new Mini DisplayPort, making it easy for MacBook users to quickly connect and power their notebooks as well as use their favourite peripherals. The LED Cinema display is only supported on the new, MacBook aluminum, Macbook air and Macbook Pro 15”.
The new LED Cinema Display will be available to order in November. At this stage an Education price has not been set but we will update this page as soon as pricing is available.
